On a Tweet and a Prayer...

Twitter accounts do help attract youth towards the Church. This is because teenagers is the internet and social networking sites all the time, they use them to connect with other people for many purposes. So, instead of telling teenagers what to do in Church and school, small interesting posts on twitter will help teens pay attention to them, and maybe get them involved in Church. But this will only work if the Pope is tweeting something that is interesting toward the youth and relatable.

There are actually many advantages to having our Church Leader tweet. Pope Francis will become the "Peoples Pope". This means that the parishioners will be able to relate to him and trust him better. When he tweets, it makes him more "human" to others, more relatable,, and he's not a mystery anymore to anyone.

There is only one disadvantage that I am able to think of of Pope Francis tweeting. This is that everyone thinks that he's perfect, with no flaws; he is the Pope after all. But when he tweets, people will soon realize that he's not perfect at all.
